The members of the Illinois Sustainable Ag Partnership will be hosting a state-wide Risk Management Conference on June 19th in Normal, Illinois.
We’ll be bringing in farmers and their advisors, researchers, and supply chain partners to talk about soil health and water management from a risk management perspective through presentations, discussion panels, and interactive conversations about weather, production resiliency,economics, risk management, business drivers, and sustainability.
Eric Snodgrass, Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, will be our master of ceremonies and weather.Dr. Jerry Hatfield, Director and Supervisory Plant Physiologist, National Laboratory for Agriculture and the Environment, USDA ARS, will be our keynote lunch speaker, followed by an afternoon bus tour of on-farm research projects sponsored by the Nutrient Research and Education Council.
