Illinois Cover Crop On-Farm Network – Cover Crop Cocktails

To continue ICCON’s four-part summer series, Cover Crop Cocktails, our second call of this series is with Chase Brown from Brown Seed Sales. Chase will discuss how to determine specific seeding rates for cover crops of a multispecies mix and why you would select these rates for your mix.

Chase Brown farms near Warrensburg IL with his father David and uncle Joe.  Since his return to the farm operation in 2010, they have trialed and adopted multiple cover crop methods and practices. Chase is owner of Brown Seed Sales, a supplier of high quality corn, soybean, forage and cover crop seed.
