Cover Crops, Row Crops & Livestock, Oh My!
How can cover crops support both crop and livestock operations? Join Farmers for Soil Health (FSH) for a conversation with Indiana producer Woody Nichols of Nichols Land and Livestock as he shares his experiences integrating row crops, cover crops and livestock into a diversified farming operation. Participants will learn how conservation practices fit within his family’s operation, the benefits and challenges they’ve encountered and lessons learned while balancing productivity, profitability and stewardship goals.
The discussion will also feature Hans Schmitz of the Indiana Agriculture Nutrient Alliance, who will share insights on conservation adoption, technical assistance resources and opportunities for producers interested in implementing cover crops and other soil health practices.
This webinar is offered through FSH, an initiative designed to increase cover crop adoption by providing technical assistance, financial incentives and educational resources. Whether you are new to cover crops or looking to refine your approach, these sessions will provide practical insights that can be applied in the field.
