Prescribed Fire Workshop: Work and Learn

Partners for Fish & Wildlife is excited to invite you to the upcoming Prescribed Fire Workshop: Work and Learn in Peoria, Illinois, on Tuesday, September 29th from 9am to 12pm (lunch & water provided)

This free, hands-on event is designed for anyone interested in woodland prescribed burns, with a special focus on prepping your burn unit.

Participants will:

    🔥 Construct fire breaks and learn best practices for woodland units
    🔥 Identify and mitigate hazard trees around the burn perimeter
    🔥 Learn how the landowner is using goats for invasive species management

Location:
Peoria, Illinois, approximately 1 mile from the airport
