Illinois Sustainable Agriculture Partnership Successfully Hosted Its FIRST Online Risk Management Webinar Series For Over 150 People

The Illinois Sustainable Agriculture Partnership, ISAP, recently held a free 3-part webinar series exploring the use of land stewardship and soil health management as tools to mitigate production and financial risks.

The first webinar featured Eric Snodgrass, Principal Atmospheric Scientist at Nutrien Ag Solutions. He broke down what climate changes are coming for Midwest agriculture over the next 30 years and how these changes will influence new risk management decisions.

The second webinar showcased how soil health management systems improve working capital. LaSalle County farmer Carl Zimmerman shared his perspective, and his budget sheets!

The third and final webinar featured Jonathan Coppess. He explored how companies across the ag supply chain are responding to consumer and market demand for sustainably produced products.

The Risk Management Webinar series aimed to increase the knowledge of farmers, landowners, and advisors, bringing the agriculture industry together to highlight how conservation practices bridge the gaps and build resiliency for Illinois farms.
