Technical Assistance Workshop for Perennial Bioenergy Crops

American Farmland Trust (AFT) and Argonne National Laboratory are hosting a technical assistance workshop for perennial bioenergy crops. This workshop will provide detailed agronomic expertise on the steps to adopt a perennial bioenergy crop like miscanthus, switchgrass, & shrub willow. AFT will share information on environmental and economic benefits to perennial bioenergy cropping systems on marginal lands as well as potential end use of harvested biomass. Participants will leave with a completed worksheet and other take home resources that can provide a start to a custom farm management plan if they are interested in receiving individualized technical assistance.
