Soil Health Week: Protecting Health Soils by the Acre

Join American Farmland Trust in this hour-long webinar highlighting the importance of farmland protection and farmland transfer in ensuring our soils are healthy, productive, and protected for generations to come. This webinar will explain the threat of farmland loss in Illinois and share valuable tools and resources that are available to farmers and landowners who want to protect their land including conservation easements, succession planning support, and AFT’s Land Transfer Navigator Program. AFT will also provide an overview of the IL Natural Resources and Agricultural Legacy Act, a bill in the Illinois legislature that would create a state incentive for private landowners to protect their natural areas and farmland.
