ICCON: Cover Crop Termination

In March’s ICCON call, a panel of cover crop farmers will share their experiences with cover crop termination techniques. Jim Isermann, Pete Fandel, and Frank Rademacher are all farmers in Central Illinois who use their agronomy background and on-farm experiences to hep farmers make effective conservation decisions. During this call attendees will learn about several termination techniques and discuss several considerations farmers should be thinking about this time of year when terminating their cover crops.

ISAP convenes cover crop specialists from across Illinois and the broader Midwest region for monthly discussions to explore new research, troubleshoot field conditions, and provide updates on policies and programs related to cover crops. Engaging with presentations by experts, researchers, and industry leaders, our ICCON calls provide an opportunity to share knowledge and network with a strong community of cover crop enthusiasts.

Each call will feature a different topic and speaker, with time allotted for Q&A and group discussion.
