Illinois Cover Crop On-Farm Network Monthly Calls

ISAP convenes cover crop specialists from across Illinois and the broader Midwest region for monthly discussions to explore new research, troubleshoot field conditions, and provide updates on policies and programs related to cover crops. Engaging with presentations by experts, researchers, and industry leaders, our ICCON calls provide an opportunity to share knowledge and network with a strong community of cover crop enthusiasts.

In the final session of ICCON’s Soil Testing Series, we will be joined by independent consultant David Kleinschmidt. David will provide an understanding of practical implementation of soil tests, management strategies to adjust upon receiving results,  and how he helps farmers strategize plans on how to best manage nutrients. Speaker: David Kleinschmidt

David is an independent consultant who works with farmers throughout the country focused on improving their soil health while not sacrificing yield or profitability. David started Progressive Agronomy Consulting in 2018. He works with farmers to help them understand their soils are a bio-chemical, physical system. Together they strategize plans on how to best manage nutrient applications, pesticide applications, residue management, and cover crop recommendations through a systems approach that best fits their needs and environment.
