Cover Crop and Soil Health Field Day

Multiple presenters will be on hand to discuss: soil health, IL’s Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy, Conservation Compliance, and Cover Crops.

Demonstrations, including soil pits and a rainfall simulator, will be shown.

Presenters include: Barry Fisher (USDA NRCS Soil Health Specialist), Lauren Lurkins (IL Farm Bureau Director of Natural and Environmental Resources), Mindy Scott (USDA NRCS Soil Conservationist), and John Pike (Pike Ag LLC Agronomist/Consultant).

Donuts/coffee, pulled pork lunch, and door prizes are all available at this FREE event. Info on current funding options from SWCD, NRCS will be available.
