Visiting Research Scientist

The Crop Sciences Department of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences is hiring for a Visiting Research Scientist. The qualified candidate will measure and publish on biophysical aspects of diversity across a gradient of cropping systems in the Midwest as part of a collaborative team of farmers, scientists, and stakeholders. Duties and responsibilities include:
• Develop and independently execute experimental protocols within a larger collaborative team.
• Report on research findings through team presentations, written reports, scientific meetings, public engagement, and peer-reviewed publications.
• Develop research plan to assess biophysical indicators associated with cropping system diversity across gradients of practice duration, edaphic conditions, and system complexity.
• Connect academic and public stakeholders in support of shared learning outcomes.
• Provide research and extension support to collaborative team diversifying cropping systems in the Midwest.
