Seminary Hill Farms is hiring a full-time Farm Manager to oversee and direct all growing activities: soil health and composting, seeding, planting, irrigation, chemical-free weed and pest control. Along with the CSA, Volunteer and Intern Coordinator, the Farm Manger will serve as the public face of the farm to the campus community and external stakeholders. On-site residence is available but not required.
Established in 2013, Seminary Hill Farm covers 10 acres of the 80-acre campus of MTSO and features three production greenhouses and six season-extension hoop houses. It is our mission to teach small-scale farming and produce good food for all in pursuit of a just, sustainable and generative world. Our farm is committed to teaching and learning about local agriculture, stewardship of the land, engaging matters of environmental justice, and working toward food security and community health.
Seminary Hill Farm is a vegetable production farm that provides food to MTSO’s dining hall and food security partners through MTSO’s Community Food and Wellness Initiative. Our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program has distribution sites in Columbus as well as on the MTSO campus, raising the profile of the farm in both communities.
The Farm Manager will work closely with the Farm Consultant and the CSA, Volunteer and Intern Coordinator. The team also includes MTSO’s Land Steward and Chef de Cuisine.
