DESCRIPTION:Join the Illinois Sustainable Ag Partnership (ISAP) and a cadre of experienced drainage engineers and technical service providers for A Practitioner’s Guide to Advancing Conservation Drainage Practices.  \nThis half-day training is scheduled for 8:00AM to Noon on Wednesday\, April 2\, 2025. It is being held in conjunction with the Conservation Drainage Network’s 2025 Annual Meeting on April 1-3\, 2025\, at the Illini Union Hotel (1401 West Green Street\, Urbana\, IL\, 61801). Lunch is included. \nParticipants in the hands-on\, interactive training will gain usable information and tools to support their work in advocating for and coordinating increased conservation drainage practice adoption and implementation. SUMMARY:From Farm to Filtration: A Tour of Conservation in Action
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by McLean County SWCD\, Purdue University\, NREC\, The Nature Conservancy\, and Illinois Sustainable Ag Partnership\, join us on Thursday\, April 3\, for a unique conservation tour as we learn about the path of water off the farm through filtration. \n\nThis conservation tour will take a look at how drainage tile impacts water quality\, how cover crops play a role in nutrient runoff management\, the role that wetlands can play in limiting nutrient runoff\, and the cost associated with treating nutrients in the water.\n\nThe day will begin and end at Davis Lodge at Lake Bloomington. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please note\, the sites will have limited accessibility accommodations.
